Summoning your power

Your True Will, what you incarnated here to do, what your deepest self calls you to do, is what you must follow despite inner and outer resistances. Summon the will to do that which you will remember well on your deathbed.

Summoning your Will

Summoning your Will

Sometimes people falsely interpret “following the Tao” as rather passively and adaptively flowing with outer circumstances. The most important part of the Tao to follow is your inner refraction of it, which appears as the inner promptings of the self, what Aleister Crowley called your “True Will.” Your True Will, what you incarnated here to do, what your deepest self calls you to do, is what you must follow despite inner and outer resistances. Summon the will to do that which you will remember well on your deathbed.

Rebelling from Victim Mentality and Self-Pity

Rebelling from Victim Mentality and Self-Pity

“Murmur at nothing: if our ills are reparable, it is ungrateful; if remediless, it is vain.” Shakespeare “Every man supposes himself not to be fully understood or appreciated.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson “What poison is to food, self-pity is to life.” — Oliver C. Wilson “Self-pity is a death that has no resurrection, a sinkhole from which no rescuing hand can drag you because you have chosen to sink.” — Elizabeth Elliot “A man’s as miserable as he thinks he is.” — Marcus Annaeus Seneca,ca. 54 BC‚Äì ca. 39 AD, a Roman rhetorician and writer “Do not weep; do not wax indignant. Understand.” — Baruch Spinoza “To understand the world one must not be worrying about one’s self.” — Albert Einstein “Sometimes I go about in pity for myself, and all the while a great wind is bearing me across the sky.” — Ojibwa Saying Self-pity is one of the cheapest, most addictive and debilitating drugs available in the neuropharmacopeia of negative emotions. You don’t even have to walk down to the corner store; you can start free-basing self-pity while you are still under the covers. Self-pity is like a self-replenishing box of glazed donuts that is always placed conveniently [...]

Wizard Within

Wizard Within

Time to open the box and access your inner wizard. Few of us access the array of powers that exist, at least as potential, within us. Probably the single factor that most limits our access to power is the central spell or enchantment of the Babylon Matrix, which causes us to pursue outside objects, persons or entities to find our wholeness and fulfillment. Once you are set on that quest you become as enchantment bound as a Ring Wraith. The hot pursuit of the external agent is the anti-magick, a heatsink like a black hole for any radiance of Self or personal power. If a person is inanely infatuated, for example, it is easy to see how much power he has abandoned. But if you instead focus on your own center, the Self, the source that flows through you, if you shift your gaze from the Precious to the fires of chaos, the boiling cauldrons of ones and zeros, the stuff that matrices are made from, then you become a subcreator and have access to the Wizard Within. According to Aleister Crowley’s definition,”Magick is the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will.” One of my [...]

Avoid Castration

Avoid Castration

You do have a choice. Don’t let the Babylon Matrix castrate you. Many forces seek your disempowerment. One of the most basic forms of castration (for males or females) is to keep your attention focused on the pursuit of a glittering external object — the hottie, money, social status, worldly power, consumer goods, etc. In this position your head is captured in the wrong end of the telescope and you become ever more removed from your real source of power — the neglected core of wholeness within. Is there something you see as more powerful than yourself which you worship? That’s one of the essential forms of self-castration. The Sanskrit definition of God is a circle whose center is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere. You are at the center of the circle, and so is everything else. If you worship an external savior and therefore place yourself as outside the circle of the divine looking in, then you betray your soul and descend into fundamentalist madness. In the recently discovered gnostic Gospel of Thomas Jesus says: “He who will drink from my mouth will become like me. I myself shall become he, and the things that are hidden will [...]

Accessing Mutant Abilities

Accessing Mutant Abilities

The difference between a powerful mutant and a disempowered one has much to do with their hierarchy of psychic functions. The mind and the ego are crucial allies, but they need to be, in many cases, in a subordinate relationship to global intuition. The re-empowerment of intuition is directly connected to greater access to psychic abilities.

Overcoming Negative Inertia

Overcoming Negative Inertia

“Man’s greatest passion isn’t sex, money or power. It is laziness.” — Carl Jung (quoted from memory) You don’t have to be a workaholic or grimly committed to constant doing, but you do want to avoid lethargic passivity. Getting to work with intensity is usually much more fulfilling than a life of postponement and negative inertia. Psychologically, there is a conservative tendency to maintain the status quo, to become more habitual, mechanical and resistant to change. The positive aspect is that this may be a propitious time to work on the problem of laziness.

Overcoming the Gigantic

Overcoming the Gigantic

Overcome what others see as overwhelming odds in a righteous inner/outer battle. Human incarnation is capable of presenting us with gigantic struggles, adversities and adversaries. Celebrate the challenge you signed on for and don’t fall into victimhood or self-pity. Rise to the challenge and look for that key leverage point where you can shift the matrix.

Stalker

Stalker

This is a time for the stance of a stalker — to be warily and intensely focused on your goals. The overly busy, hectic nature of modern life tends to fragment attention. It is so easy for the day to get spent on mundane tasks and shallow entertainments. The stalker is focused on those few high value tasks, and works efficiently through the necessary low value tasks, refusing to allow needless distractions and sidetracks. The high value tasks are the things you will remember well on your deathbed. Keep focused throughout your day to ensure that you find time for those highest value tasks. The stalker is part of the Warrior approach to life.

Go to Sleep

Go to Sleep

The Babylon Matrix needs you to be a sleepworker. You are surrounded by forces that want you asleep, want you sleepwalking, sleepworking, sleepshopping. Once you are in an anesthetized trance, comfortably numb, you are putty in the hands of the Babylon Matrix. The process of waking up is one of deconditioning, relinquishing addictions, undoing mechanical patterning and refusing to spend your life doing things you won’t remember well on your deathbed. The common tendency not to know about current events is a form of being successfully put to sleep. Not remembering your dreams is a form of sleeping through the other half of your incarnation. Ingesting foods, pills, etc. without really knowing what is in them, and what they are doing to you, is another dangerous somnambulism. Sleeping around unconsciously, not learning from personal and collective history, forever seeking outside objects and Hotties are examples of nonwakefulness. Many people are put under by spells or enchantments that they will often even incorporate as decorations or bumper stickers, e.g.”United we stand.” Commuting to work in the Eighties I noticed a common bumper sticker that read, “I owe, I owe, so off to work I go.” How many people spend their lives [...]

Working with Focused Intensity

Working with Focused Intensity

Working with focus. There are times to relax and allow your awareness to become diffused, but this is not one of them. This is a propitious time to work with focus and determination, completely engaged with what you are doing. Strike now, because the iron is very hot. To strike while the iron is hot means to form something, a time to get to work because your influence, your will can create useful change. When iron is hot it is malleable. There is a temporary window of opportunity where it is relatively plastic, and through effort it can be given a form that will become semi-permanent. Aleister Crowley’s definition of magic is: “The science and art of creating change in conformity with will.” What are the areas of life where the application of your will can create the most effective and life-affirming change? Using myself as example, at age 50 the iron is no longer hot if I want to break athletic records. But at this age, the iron feels very hot for writing, working on the oracle and other creative tasks. At this age my cognitive/creative skills have matured, but I am not so old that dementia or lack [...]
