Mind Parasites – A Potent X Factor in Human Experience and Evolution

A mind parasite encounter in Frank Herbet’s Heretics of Dune is employed to discuss parasatism and energetic transactions.

This article derives from a discussion I had with Alex in 2005. Alex narrates an out of body vision which lead to his painting “Demons and Dieties Drinking from the Milky Pool.” I provide some analysis of his experience and comments on two other paintings of his which have mind parasite imagery.

The phenomenon of “energy sappers,” of people who are energy drainers, is well known to many from real life experience. The most insightful discussion of the subject I have to date encountered is in Breakthrough to Creativity, a wonderful book on parapsychology which was copyrighted in 1967 by Shafica Karagulla, MD.

Notice the title of this document is “Vision at Chichén Itzá” not “Vision about Chichén Itzá.” I make no claim here, as in absolutely no claim, that what I experienced at Chichén Itzá is a revelation of anything about the ancient or modern Mayan people or culture.
